The process control of a coating system enables a very high automation level and thus excellent flexibility and an optimum utilisation of the system capacity. The overall process can be controlled by a master computer.  All parameters relevant for the production process are entered in the master computer or scanned, for example the colour for the flow-coating process or painting process or individual process steps.

The master computer is controlled with a PLC-application. The traverses of the system are equipped with RFID chips, read/write-heads record information of various stations. This information is reported back to the master computer. Consequently, this enables to keep track of the production cycle and be controlled from the control station.
